Star Clash - Independents Report
Stardates 2/2505.01 - 2/2505.10 (Days 31-40)

Affiliation of Outer Free Worlds (AOFW)
2/2505.01 Repair work continues at Baker's World on the Star Fleet ships in Task Force 24.
Listening posts detected a force of three ships with Klingon warp signatures passed AOFW space. They entered near the Hoot system and left near Martin's Star.
2/2505.06 A moderate level protest is issued to Star Fleet Triangle sector headquarters by the headquarters of the AOFW Space Navy, noting that a number of Federation warships have recently entered AOFW space without prior warning or permission. This is not to be repeated
2/2505.10 The repair work at Baker's World on the Star Fleet ships in Task Force 24 is complete.
From 2/2505.04 to 2/2505.10 four Star Fleet ships enter AOFW space from the "north" and "northwest". The AOFW received no warning about their coming, nor was permission requested for them to enter. Some senior members of the AOFW Space Navy and the civilian government are beginning to feel that Star Fleet is taking them for granted. They are not happy at the situation.

Orion Frontier Mercantile Association (OFMA)
2/2505.10 Nothing of note has occurred for the last ten days.

Mantiev Colonial Association (MCA)
2/2505.01 A force of six Size C, thirty seven Size B, and seven Size A Klingon warp signatures suddenly appears at the Mantiev system. They immediately move to attack. The Mobile Defense Force and the system garrison, having no choice, stand their ground near the planet and its repair facility. The Massacre at Mantiev occurs.
At the Massacre at Mantiev the combined Klingon force destroys all but one of the ships in the Mantiev system and captures the F-2 Nestar repair facility there.
2/2505.02 The Klingons have left the Mantiev system.
A group of ten medium Klingon ships headed "northwest".
A group of three large, six medium, and three small Klingon ships headed "north".
A group of three large, eighteen medium, and four small Klingon ships headed "south".
A group of two medium Klingon ships headed "west". This is the group with the captured repair facility.

Independent Worlds
2/2505.01 Farkin - The Star Fleet attempt to pacify the system continues.
A group of three medium sized Klingon warp signatures approach the Farkin system from the "northeast". On arrival they quietly sit at the outer edge of the system on the opposite side of the sun from the planet and the Federation fleet.
Altharra - A Star Fleet force consisting of eight large, six medium, and two small ships arrives at the system. The system's governor contacts the commander, Rear Admiral T'nek. He is polite, but makes its clear he is not happy to see a large fleet in his system.
Admiral T'nek replies;
"Our apologies, but intelligence reports made it appear that the Klingon Empire was considering an assault on your sovereign territory, so we moved into a position where we could be of assistance. This has proven to be false, as the Klingons instead appear to have attacked a different target. We will leave your domain for as long as your independence remains intact."
Three medium sized Klingon ships enter the system shortly after the Federation force, and from the same direction. Immediately, two large Federation ships race towards the Klingons. The Klingons retreat well away from the system at warp 8. A few hours later the Federation ships return and rejoin their fleet.
2/2505.02 Altharra - The planetary governor again contacts Admiral T'nek, and asks how long he intends to remain in the system. He asks if Mantiev is not the location of the Klingon attack T'nek expected on Altharra. While he appreciates the Federation's attention, shouldn't the fleet be headed for Mantiev?
The Klingon ships return to the system and take up a position on the other side of the sun from the Federation force.
2/2505.03 Altharra - The planetary governor again contacts Admiral T'nek, and asks how long he intends to remain in the system. He is not pleased with the imprecise nature of the answer.
Two Federation medium ships are seen to depart the Altharra system headed "west" at warp 6.
2/2505.04 Altharra - The planetary governor again contacts Admiral T'nek, he is very obviously not happy at not knowing when the fleet will leave, but notes that there is nothing he can do about it.
Farkin - A group of three medium sized Klingon warp signatures approach the system from the "south". They remain at the edge of the system for a few hours, and then head off "south" at warp 7.
2/2505.05 Farkin - Star Fleet efforts to liberate the planet continue. Klingon resistance is much stiffer than expected.
Altharra - The Star Fleet task force departs the system at warp 6 headed "southwest".
The Klingon force follows the Federation fleet.
In a huff, the governor makes no contact with the fleet as it departs. The destroyers Smith and Jones follow the Federation fleet until it is about a half day away. They then turn back.
The Federation has lost a lot of prestige and friendship in the Altharra system due to the heavy handed treatment the governor received from Rear Admiral T'nek. It will undoubtedly take a long time before these hurt feelings are made better.
2/2505.08 New Paradise - A Star Fleet force consisting of eight large, four medium, and two small ships arrives at the system from the "northeast". The four Klingon garrison ships leave the system headed "southwest" at warp 5.
The medium sized Klingon ships arrive at the system soon after the Federation fleet, and from the same direction.
2/2505.09 New Paradise - The Star Fleet force begins unloading troops onto the planet. Combat begins between the Klingon garrison troops and the Federation marines.
The Klingon garrison ships return to the system, but remain well away from the Federation force and the other group of Klingon ships.
